I prefer the smaller, wooden boats as opposed to the yachts.

Life by the sea, I am envious. Though the new waterside block of flats looks very ‘bland’. I have been an RNLI ‘Shoreline member’ since the late 1970s. It is the only charity I subscribe to regularly. Brave lifeboat crews, and almost all of them vounteers.
Best wishes, Pete.

Yes Pete and they are busier than ever, whether it’s a daft paddle boarder or a real seafarer!

I hate the way they are being vilified by so many right-wing morons for saving the lives of migrants in The Channel. Whatever people’s political views are, they should not be criticising the RNLI for saving the lives of anyone in danger at sea in our waters.

Yes Pete it would be satisfying to put those morons in a little boat on the high seas.

The RNLI is an amazing institution. I am a member, because I windsurf. Thankfully, I’ve never had to use them. But they are so brave. They have saved so many lives at sea – and as Pete says, so many are volunteers.

Yes Jacqueline it certainly is and they provide lifesavers on our beaches, thankfully they have not had to rescue me yet either!

200 years ago in Seattle, European explorers had charted but had not yet settled in the area which had actually been “discovered” by the ancestors of Native American residents 10,000 years earlier.

A lot can happen in 200 years, especially if you have a boat.

I try to stay away from boats in order to reduce my risk of drowning.
