WHERE ARE WE?THIS IS WHAT WE ARE PROMISED FOR BOURNEMOUTH SQUARE. THE DEMISE OF DEBENHAMS DEPARTMENT STORE HAS LEFT AN EMPTY BUILDING WHICH WILL BE REGENERATED AND RETURN AS THE PREVIOUS STORE WHICH LONG TERM RESIDENTS REMEMBER… IN THE MEANTIME…
LET’S GO THROUGH THIS RATHER UNPROMISING DOOR AND UP TWO FLOORS…
WHERE AN EMPTY FLOOR HAS BEEN TURNED INTO AN ART GALLERY.LET SOME COLOUR INTO YOUR LIFEDIZZY YET?YOU COULD TRY THIS AT HOMEA SELFIEEVEN DIZZIER?
Amazing selection of vibrant art pieces (well, less so on the Chapman brothers). It is sad how the closing shops along with Covid have knocked life out city and town centres. Some have been like this a good while. It’s going to take a lot of creative thinking to address this one.
Sorry to hear that. It’s sad when these long-standing stores close, particularly when the chain is regional and people have affection for it, like Beales or Fenwick, places you went as a child
Yes the moment I walked into the gallery it put a smile on my face – under my mask. I’m sure we would like to sit on the bench with Gladys and have a chat…
Beautiful

Thank you for the tour. I hope Gladys is not still waiting for Charlie.

These are very interesting. The one with the naked girls reminded me of Where’s Wally.

It certainly will; we have lost our Marks and Spencer a few years ago and our ‘Flagship’ Beales just before Covid.

Yes Pete, I would like to meet Gladys and the ‘Where’s Wally# painting was quite small and so intricate.

Love all the bright colours 😀 … I suspect Gladys is planning world domination. There’s the tiniest of glints in her eye! 😀
