Feeling too hot?

Take a trip to the seaside.

Don’t forget to turn the sea off before you leave.

Time to retreat to the shade.

Sun or shade, which do you prefer?

Yes Carol so do I and it’s good to be somewhere with a choice. Yes as soon as I saw the dog poster I had to take a photo.

I don’t do well in heat so I like sun in the morning and then retreat to the shade in the afternoon.

Perfect, early morning has been lovely here with a good breeze.

I used to prefer the sun until the skin cancers taught me to appreciate the shade!

I don’t dislike the sun, but it definitely dislikes me, so I’m a shade lover.

I’m a pale, almost transparent, shade-dwelling creature!
Ten minutes of sunshine and I’m lobster red!

Hello Jaqueline, that must be tricky for someone who loves sea sports!

It is! Particularly because the sun also reflects off the sand, water, and your sail!
I plaster myself in that sun screen that binds to your skin so it doesn’t wash off. It looks a bit like white gloss paint.
It works a treat, though!

Is that the legendary Helter Skelter?

Yes it is, one of the amusements that appears on the end of the pier in summer. I haven’t been on it.

I thought so! I’m a Beatles nut and recognized it right away. Also one of their best songs! Great pix!

I had a cactus like the green candle which grew too big for its boots, but thankfully a few stick supports and it not only survived, it even produced seven offspring. I’ve been on a similar train in Malta – why should kids have all the fun? 😀 I need to get out in the sun but please keep it around 70 degrees. Perfect.
P.S. I’ve got to nick the dog poster. Love it.

Yes adults love train rides as well. We actually had lots of rain this morning at Chez Tidalscribe and it was very welcome.
