What could be nicer than a garden in summer?

And an invitation to a garden party on a sunny morning.

Until it starts raining…

But what would a traditional summer garden party be without torrential rain and thunder!

But two books found a new home.

Rain spoils everything. Thank you for sharing these pictures.

You’re welcome, yes we are all helpless when the heavy rain comes.

This is the first time I’ve seen not getting wet in a call to action to buy a book. I love it!

Thanks Liz, amazing what ideas rain and thunder can inspire.

We had the same, Janet. The thunder yesterday early morning was so low and sounded like hitting our roof. It was bright and sunny the rest of the day.

Hello Miriam, funny to have the same sort of day on different continents!

It’s strange, Janet. It was our first rain. There were lightening and thundering kept us awake the night before, then the same woke us up before dawn. That was it. Gone. The sun came out!

Very wise to have a tent over the books for sale. Shade for the writers when it’s sunny and protection from sudden rain, which is not good for books!

Yes we wouldn’t have lasted ten minutes without the gazebo as it was raining on and off before the big downpour.

I was excited because I recognized two books I own in the pictures but then, of course, I realized they were yours!

At least I didn’t have to water the garden when I got home, this summer is very different to last year!

That’s a bonus no watering…although sometimes I still have to water here as when the sun is out its hot and soon dries the pots out ๐

Its the same for me Janet I’m having to sign in my own blog to respond sometimes I don’t know what the hell is going on and that box keeps up when I comment on other blogs its just another step to contend with as Pete said something is going on in the background…WP at it best-smile-

What could be nicer? Summer in the garden with no rain at all. But we live in England, so we understand that is never going to happen. ๐
Best wishes, Pete.

Good for you selling a few Janet. Looked like the sunny day had begun with potential. Sounds like the (non) summer we’ve had here – hard to plan a thing with intermittent rain storms. ๐

Very difficult, the poor organisers had already cancelled the garden party in July because of gale force winds and were worried about the forecast of rain, but decided to go ahead…

Janet, this summer has been the strangest weather-wise and it seems impossible to plan anything outside! I’m glad you all managed to enjoy some time in the beautiful garden and hooray, you came home two books richer! Haha! There is definitely something to be said for online book shopping – 24/7 and no downpours! I love the sound of your book and just downloaded it! Hope you’re having a lovely start to the week! xx ๐โค๏ธ
