When we moved here I naively assumed the beach was just there and was astonished when a couple of winters later the major operation started on our part of the beach.
After reading that remark Pete I wondered why we had never tried the telescopes. When I was on Bournemouth sea front today I noticed they seem to have proliferated, but I have never heard anyone using one. You have to put a pound coin in.

Yes GP, winter beaches are lovely; wind, rain and tides give them a good clean!

Thanks Anita, it was a lovely walk. One day with the right software we might be able to walk into the screen!

The photos where the sand is unmarked by footprints are remarkable.

Hello Audrey, yes I think it was so windy the sand was given a good sweeping and the tide had gone out. I must have got there before anyone else!

In all my travels, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one more lovely.

That’s good to hear Jacqueline , we must never take it for granted, well worth the massive replenishment of sand at regular intervals!

Ha ha, I remember that. I think the last one was a couple of years ago where they were pumping in sand from offshore!

I would have to put a pound in, just to hear what it said. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
