Hello Miriam, that is such a shame to have not seen London at its best. My Australian relatives had a soaking in Bournemouth and London, but a few sunny days as well.

We were on a tour, Janet. We couldn’t stay longer to wait for the sun. My friend and her husband took us to visit Bath, Stonehenge, and a few places before joining our tour. My husband’s cousin was going to give us a boat ride but it rained hard. They did the BBQ under the umbrella!

Somehow the Puget Sound region of Washington state needs to develop a way to deliver its excess rain to places that desperately need it.

Relentless rain here for the last few days too. It feels dark all day, and gets me down a bit too. At least you went out in it to get photos, I just take Ollie for his walk in what has become a mudbath.

I think the gloominess is the worst part! I had to go to the dentist on the bus so had to go out anyway and being a non driver am used to being out in all weathers. BUT, this winter I have twice been caught in a real deluge and got a record soaking.

The artificial flowers do look a bit moldy by this time of year, and the one thing that definitely needs more water in it is the sea! What a great sense of humor. 🙂
