It is a great English tradition to plan an outing and have grey dreary weather. When you view your photos they are even duller than expected, but you say to yourself ‘I bet those views are great on a sunny day.’ This is a place well worth visiting near one of my favourite cities. How quickly will you work out where you are?

A great cathedral in the distance.

Got it as soon I saw the Lancaster bomber sculpture.

I’ve been to Lincoln 2 or 3 times, but not to the Bomber Command museum.

Hello Liz, yes it was me, my sister and my son visiting. Our father was in Bomber Command and my son was in the RAF for 22 years so it was of special interest. We had a chap doing a guided tour and he told us things about Bomber Command we didn’t know, Dad didn’t tell us a lot!

I guessed from the picture of the Cathedral – on a very slight hill in a very flat place! I went there once to visit a friend but it was a day trip so we saw very little.

Well done. Someone from Lincoln told me it’s not a hill, it’s an escarpment! The city is certainly worth another visit if you get that way again.

This was an easy one for me because I was there in September 2024.
Best wishes, Pete.
