WHAT DO YOUR VISITORS LIKE TO DO OR WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WITH YOUR VISITORS?

Visitors departed, back to normal transmission soon.

We took our daughter and son-in-law to Ben & Jerry’s ice cream graveyard in Vermont. Great fun!

An ice cream graveyard sounds intriguing!

Here’s one headstone example:
~In Memory of~
Rainforest Crunch
With aching heart & heavy sigh
We bid Rainforest Crunch goodbye.
That nutty brittle from exotic places
Got sticky in between our braces.

Oh wow…I would love to visit that with a little girl I know…What fun 🙂

And of course my son-in-law had to stand in a very long line to buy ice cream to eat on the way home.

That was a given, Liz I hope he bought you your favourite 🙂 x

Yes it’s a good way to have a holiday without going away.

All of our vistors are family members, so we usually just chat and don’t go anywhere with them, except to a local country pub for dinner and drinks.
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are my weakness, I am addicted to the simple ‘glazed ring’.
As a Londoner now in exile in Norfolk, I would have to take issue with the bus/shop. The number 8 runs from Bow Church in East London, and terminates at Tottenham Court Road Station. It goes nowhere near the destinations displayed on the shop-bus. 😊
Best wishes, Pete.

I am afraid I have never had an actual Krispy Kreme, artistic licence in my blog, but I am obviously missing something so will try the glazed ring.

Well spotted with the bus. Red buses turn up everywhere as bars or party trips!

You have Krispy Kreme…Lucky you… we only have them at the airport and not land side like Pete I love the glazed ring or we all do 🙂 x

Here I have to confess I have never actually tried Krispy Kreme, assuming they would be too sickly sweet, sounds like I should give them a try.

I just like the glazed ones…they are sweet but now and again…

I like the Chatty Bench label. Airlines should have Chatty Aisles, so I can avoid them!

Excellent idea Geoff, at least on a chatty bench at the shopping centre you can get up and leave.

Somehow, I don’t believe you for a minute. You’re a pseudo curmudgeon.

We got so many people addicted to Qwirkle! Definitely only something you do with guests, though…
Thank you for sharing a few smiles and lovely pictures 🙂

We just played Qwirkle the other day with my visitor and friends, including one friend with vision problems, but we all have problems distinguishing orange and red!

For some unfathomable reason, visitors from abroad want to see Las Vegas (just a 4-5 hour drive away). I prefer to take them to the Palm Springs tram which whisks you from desert floor to 10,000′ alpine forest in just minutes. The view is stupendous!

Las Vegas is the last place I would choose if I ever made it across the Atlantic. My son was posted to Nellis Air Base for three years and they lived eleven miles from Las Vegas. I would have enjoyed the other places they went to, but my son said I would hate LV! We never made it over in the end, with my husband getting ill and the pandemic.
