Busy, busy, busy, formatting the garden, watering visitors and expecting a new paperback… only time for a little local stroll and perhaps a coffee. Enjoy a wander.

Is it going to rain? No, it’s always sunny in Southbourne-on-Sea.

Local volunteers have been busy planting.

Outside, inside or on the roof…

Yummy, picnic time, wonder what they sell? Answer at the end.

There is always someone watching you…

Answer – the funeral directors…
Where did you stop for coffee?

Looks like a good community spirit is maintained there. Hugs

I’m sure I must have been to Southbourne-on-Sea at sometime, but can’t remember if, or when. I certainly had some outlaws not far away when the kids were small were small. Your photos make it look charming anyway!

It’s twenty one years this week since we moved here and it was nice then, but you couldn’t find anywhere to have dinner! Since then it has flourished with lots of independent traders and no end of choice for coffee.

We spent Sunday troll hunting in Denmark.
We found two trolls, but no coffee houses, so we brewed up ourselves!
You can find the trolls on https://trollmap.com/. They are all over the world, although they started in Denmark!

I have a cute tiny troll given me by the Aussie relatives who came to England via the whole of Scandinavia!

Wonderful!
When I was a kid, I had one of those small cute trolls with brightly coloured hair. I think they are from Denmark – they were quite the thing in the 1970s!

They did a great job with ‘In bloom’. Lovely displays. I would have had to ask why the funeral company thought that window display was appropriate!
Best wishes, Pete.

Hello Carol, yes someone must have been busy watering, it’s been so dry here. My friend who came to stay was impressed with the display.

That’s some task unless they have an automated watering system but either way the flowers are spectacular 🙂 x
