Where might you see this mural? Answer further along...

Where might this lead?

Is this art?

Is there a painting hiding here?

If you emerge at low tide from the sea, what will you see?

Nearly finished…

Pity the bins are in the way!

Where is your favourite place to see art?

I’d say my favorite place to see art is where I least expect it.

That wave mural is a masterpiece!

Hello Audrey, yes it certainly is. I am in awe of artists who can paint murals, up close so they can’t see the bigger picture. That artist draws squares first so I guess he has a smaller version on a graph.

I agree with Liz. The best art for me is the kind I come across in my travels, the unexpected finds that are out there, like these finds pictured here.

Hello Bruce, yes so true and I do seem to come across quite a lot of art.

Boss Vegas! 🙂
I love the art. I haven’t see that, I shall have to go and have a peek next time we’re home.
I agree, t’is a shame about the bins!

Yes I saw the artist finishing up for the day a few weeks back, just missed him actually painting. I would not be pleased if it was my painting!

Nice to see so much art for free at the seaside. I used to love the complex street-art murals in some areas of London, when they were done well. But it was sad to see them ‘tagged’ by mindless vandals who failed to appreciate the talent on display.
Best wishes, Pete.

Hello Pete, glad you enjoyed the pictures. Yes any outdoor artist must feel their art is very vulnerable.

These are great pictures. The English lifestyle I love to see. London is to busy and fast.

Thanks Robbie. Ha ha yes, London is best done in small doses. We always headed for the River Thames.

I love that wave mural. It must be awesome in person. When my youngest grandchild was 8 years old, she did a remarkable portrait of me. She has never liked it, probably because it is not flattering among the framed photos around it in my den which I have carefully picked to appeal to my vanity. I immediately created an art studio for her in the basement and for the past six years that has been my favorite place to view art which she creates with any household item she can scavenge: shaving cream, nail polish, glue, masking tape, bobbie pins, beads, etc..

thanks Geoff, glad you enjoyed the pictures. That sounds great, your home studio. Art made with anything is very popular.

Lovely pictures of some great artwork Janet! And I love the idea of the toybox.

Thanks, yes I was glad to see the toy box was full, I have seen a few. Simple but effective idea, always a spade or two left on the beach.

Hello Carol, yes the seafront gets lots of attention while the town centre has ups and downs!

Hi Janet so if you are a visitor and explore beyond the sea front…that’s a shame but also probably the norm in many holiday places 🙂 x

When it pours with rain they might be disappointed when they wander up, however the town centre is often packed with students and visitors and the are some interesting local things which I must do a blog about. The lower gardens are being transformed for Xmas including a big ice rink, more picture opportunities…

I liked the ‘bring a broken’ toy box idea. And I do like those colourful beach huts. 😊

Hello Debby, yes a good idea as beach toys are often left behind and would be plastic waste if not rescued.
Yes the beach huts are fun and add colour in winter.
