The sky is not always blue and this is why the English always talk about the weather. Sunny, dreich (borrowed from the Scots) , torrential rain or howling gales; the photographer should capture them all.

Perhaps it’s time to go inside.

What might this be? Find out at the end.

Take a look in the gift shop.

If you want to peek in the gallery to see the exhibition you will have to wait for the next blog.

Where do you like to go on a dreary day?

I love visiting places like this. Great photos.

A fun spring day regardless of the weather…we were just in London for 4 days and no rain at all!

Hello John, we have had all weathers today, starting with sunshine and ending with freezing winds.

Ah, a box mangle. I haven’t seen one like that before. I thought it was some kind of printing press. Great pictures, Janet.

Hello Robbie, no I did not guess a mangle. I can remember my grandmother had a mangle, not like that one, just a handle to turn and great big rollers, not like the neater wringer my mother had.

Every once in a while, it’s lovely to go to the top of the Smith Tower in Pioneer Square in Seattle–on a day when no tourists are there–like a random Tuesday in March or September when it’s raining. It’s so nice to sip a drink and look out over the Puget Sound.
