When you go to any exhibition do you like to read everything carefully or just look at the pictures?
Times and Tides of a Beachwriter 
Funnily enough, I think my favourite is the where we are looking through a doorway, round an angle and down a corridor to see a glimpse of a figure disappearing … where? Is that another corridor or is that the stairs? It’s so mysterious!
But I rather like the general style, too. Almost impressionist.

You’re welcome Liz. An interesting choice . Hengistbury Head is photographed and painted endlessly, but it takes an artist to make his own creative interpretation.

I also like the painting with the doors and hallway. The one with chickens is also attractive. I’m guessing the lighthouse painting with the nice frame belongs to you.

Yes you guessed correctly Audrey, the painter was earning money as a waiter at the hotel where we had out aquarobic classes years ago. I hope he went on to success.

What a great display of art by one family. I love all of these, but my favourite is the chickens in the yard. Reminds me of my rural background.

Hello Darlene, yes I bet it was interesting visiting their homes. I could not resist photographing the chickens. I wish all chickens were as happy as those.

My favourite paintings were the little boy fingering the bread, and the two of the women lying on sofas. If I go to any art exhibition, I rarely look at the information, just the canvases. Then I linger in front of those I like.

Good choices Pete, I especially like the woman reading on the couch. It can be boring reading the information and then minutes later you can’t remember what you have read, but the pictures stay in mind.

I like the ones with the washing I used to love seeing washing neatly pegged on the lines and trying to put it out while wind was blowing x

Yes I liked that one. Hanging the washing up is my favourite job and I love to see it blowing on the line. There is even a Facebook group for washing lines!

Why am I not surprised…lol…I hang everything together I hate washing just haphazardly put on the line and sheets and nappies were my favourite when I was a young mum…

I like the first one, lady reading on a couch. Looks cozy. If I’m interested in a specific piece of art, I’ll read more about it. 😊

Interesting art tour, Janet. Isn’t it fun? I was intrigued by the house up against the red crackly background, Hengistbury Head. I also liked the woman reading the book on the couch. She looks comfy. 🙂
