Happy May Day. While I’m busy with visitors my blog has escaped across the river. I’ll be back soon if I manage to catch up with it.

That’s like the old joke:
“Is your refrigerator running?”
“Yes.”
“Well, then, you’d better go catch it.”

Aha – the Tuckton Ferry I believe?
The Fab Four’s fave – because they get a nice run across the fields on the way there, and treats on the boat 🙂
Happy Mayday and enjoy your guests. xx

The Wick ferry and a much nicer walk home than going via the bridge. Just trying to imagine four dogs in a boat!

They are only small pups – I’d say four Great Danes might take a bit of transporting on the little ferry 🙂

Ha ha, yes my funniest trip on that ferry was when there were two ferries on duty and a long queue because of Christchurch Food Festival. There were people getting on with muddy Labradors, large people and one woman saying ‘I hope we’re not going to capsize!’

Always a delight to see the old-style ferries still in operation. Thanks for the tour, Janet.
Best wishes, Pete.

Hello Pete, yes must be one of the worlds shortest ferry trips and cuts out a walk across the busy bridge.
