Who do you like to chat to when you go shopping?

Spent too long chatting? Better check the time.

Time for me to go on a traication with only my phone. Find out where next week.
Can you translate the Latin or tell the time?

I have been trying to figure out he time myself. It was about noon when i took the picture, take an hour off for British Summer Time, but it doesn’t look like elevenish!

No, it doesn’t look like 11 to me either. The one hand is on 12 the other looks like VI. Fun 🤩

‘Where time is pleasant’ is the Christchurch motto – maybe they should add ‘but not necessarily correct’

That Latin clock…it’s Greek to me.😁 I would strike up a conversation with all three of those wildlife representatives during a shopping expedition…which of course would make me late for my next destination…but worth it!

Hello Bruce, yes everyone seems to be confused by the clock.I would love to eavesdrop on your conversations. Sadly, while I was away,a friend reported that Diplodocus had his head sawn off!

R.I.P. Diplodocus. You (head included) will be missed!

Time was, is, will be.
As different from Tempus fugit – time flees (not ‘flies’). Some of my Schoolboy Latin has stayed with me for more than 50 years! As for the time, I haven’t a Scooby!

Thanks Clive, glad someone knew. My mother was always saying Tempus fugit, but nobody in our family did Latin.

I took it to O level, then did English, French and German at A level. The Latin was incredibly useful in understanding other languages.

Quite a cast of characters, Janet. I especially like the first one with his relaxed pose.

I sent that picture to my daughter as my grandson loves Geoffrey Giraffe and it turns out my son-in-law had to dress up as a giraffe when he was a teenager. His mother worked for Toys-R-Us and they were opening a new branch.

Enjoy your holiday. I have no idea how to tell the time by a sundial. 😊
Best wishes, Pete.

Thanks Pete, I just got back. I am beginning to wonder if that sun dial is genuine and wonder if I should knock on the door of that cottage and complain they have the time wrong.
