We can’t go in the castle as there is a wedding on so take a stroll down to the beach – and back again as the beach cafe has a long queue. It’s half term on a very sunny November day. Will you find somewhere to have coffee?

I like to eat my breakfast in silence, too. I can never understand those people who switch the television on before getting their cereal and toast! 🤷🏼♂️

I don’t like the sound of other people eating crunchy breakfasts, so maybe that’s why they had porrige!

Yes Liz, looking left ( east ) to the Isle of Wight and right ( west ) to Hengistbury Head. Straight ahead ( south ) is France, Normandy and Brittany.

Gosh, was it really 2019 that the zig zag opened – it was closed for so long! I love the light on the ocean at Highcliffe.
Is that the Highcliffe cafe re-opened? I love the wall art.

Yes the one next to the castle. As soon as I saw the walls I thought of my blog!

It looks like there are no steps? If so, that’s my kind of beach access. 😀 … love the wall art ‘commentaries’. 😀

Yes you would have been glad to see the zig zag open again. There are plenty of winding steps and down, hidden in the trees, or you can keep walking though the wood and the cliff slopes down till it meets the promenade.
