Those are both so cool. I’ve never seen images of them before. The size of the man on the hill is impressive – it’s great you have the people in there for a contrast. Is the one in the sea human-sized or also huge?

The man in the sea at Margate is life size, the sculptor Antony Gormley models all his ‘men’ on himself, there is a series. This one is completely submerged at high tide.

Having seen the Another Place sculptures I’ll have to visit the Margate version. Gormley has a way of making you think

We’ve been trying to catch Margate Man at low tide since last year. Standing at the foot of the Angel is very moving – he is so still and silent, especially when it’s misty.
