When I was young- yes, that long ago- I also liked mice and if memory serves me right they were sixpence each. My pocket money was sixpence and I was responsible for feed, including fruit. If the inevitable hadn’t happened I’d never have seen a sixpence to spend on going to the Saturday matinee and a few sweets.

I enjoyed reading this yesterday on Marcia’s blog. I especially like the fact of the longest-running holiday. I’d say you got your money’s worth from that trip.
