Ten Things You May Not Know About Me

- I once worked on a chicken farm; it was up the road in our new Australian suburb and the cockerels used to wake us up. It was my school holiday job when I was fifteen, they paid me $13 out of the petty cash and on the first day the supervisor asked me to clean the toilet! When I was young- yes, that long ago- I also liked mice and if memory serves me right they were sixpence each. My pocket money was sixpence and I was responsible for feed, including fruit. If the inevitable hadn’t happened I’d never have seen a sixpence to spend on going to the Saturday matinee and a few sweets.

I enjoyed reading this yesterday on Marcia’s blog. I especially like the fact of the longest-running holiday. I’d say you got your money’s worth from that trip.
