Hello Liz, we had pet white mice when I was young… but that’s another story.

We had a guinea pig when I was a kid. Them and hamsters are about the only rodents I’m not afraid of.

That carrot picture was a lol moment…and now I finally have the answer as to why carrots are so good for our sight. And if the lights go out in the future, I’ll be sure to grab one to walk around with for an even better view.🥕

One year in junior school my son’s class had a rat as a class pet, he was very sweet.

Some friends of ours had rats for pets. They were very cute. I prefer dogs, though! 🙂

Well … I can’t play the piano, I do work Sudoku puzzles, but that arrow one blows my mind — no thanks! So, I’ll just keep doing what I do, and when I’m really stressed, there’s always a furry critter waiting to sit on my lap for pats!

I read that as sudokarrot and wondered what a phonetically spelt pseudo-carrot might be and what its optics covered. I think my brain needs a soak and a wash at 30C. Thank you for forcing my hand.

Do not worry about rats becoming extinct. There are plenty here even with 5 cats patrolling this plot! And we have mice as well. I know because the cats present them to me. Given how fast they breed they could repopulate the whole country in a few months.

Another good reason to avoid hospitals, especially during storms. I heard some of the rats are growing big fluffy tails and masquerading as squirrels. I think they are being undercounted.

I love rats! They’re cute and smart and have a vital role in the urban food chain. My neighbor leaves food out for the feral cats; the rats eat the cat food; the cats eat the rats…and I’m forced to adopt the kittens she brings over.

Yes we’re encouraged to make things nice for wild life EXCEPT rats? But I imagine your neighbour might not be popular with all the neighbours, those who don’t like rats or cats?
