      1. Bailey’s Hard, I think. It was a family adventure day out. There were tiny crabs in the Beaulieu river, 5mm diameter. I uised to like it over there but have not been for a long time.

    1. Apparently for special occasions, but they put the historic chairs away safely and bring ordinary chairs in to sit on! Lord Montague has his office and entertains in the palace, but he and his wife have a smaller house to live in nearby in the village.

      1. Hi, we’re in Italy at the moment. Not having too good a time of it, since hubs skied off a mountain on my birthday and was airlifted to hospital, fortunately with only a broken tibia! I must update my blog, as it’s been an ‘interesting’ journey, and one worth sharing for anyone who thinks travel insurance will do the heavy lifting and get you out of trouble. But I’ve been too busy to do anything much other than keeping us afloat and battling the insurers.

We’re on the better side of things now, though.

I hope life is quieter in Bournemouth! xx

    1. Hello Pete. When we arrived my daughter said the monorail looked flimsy and we wondered if it was still working! Sure enough a little green train soon appeared and we did go on it. I remember hearing about it when it was installed and imagining a huge site requiring a monorail to get you to the other side, so it’s amusing to find a ten minute ride that goes in a circle.
