I wish there were a stronger button than “Like”. Your pictures make me wonder if maybe I have one more overseas trip left in me. These bring my trip to Ireland to mind; such a lovely country!
Thanks Judy, yes I always think that about the button. Alas, I haven’t been to Ireland or USA. But your comments remind me that what is local to one person is a travel dream to another.
Should you make your way to this part of the world, I have a guest house standing ready for your visit. My world is beautiful in a very different way from yours, but you might enjoy the change of scenery.
Hello Carol, yes I’m lucky, or I should say it took a lot of planning for us to get a home here 20 years ago. Aussie visitors are impressed I can walk out the door and be by river or sea in ten minutes – of course one has to like walking!
Those shiny food vans have popped up everywhere since Covid, excellent for reflections.
All that planning was worth it you probably wouldn’t get the same now if you could even get one plus the prices would have risen somewhat…A bonus that those vans have stayed I expect they are busy… people seem to like that sort eatery now 🙂
Very true Carol, the only place we have lived where the area has gone up instead of down! We got in just in time. All the houses in our road have been improved, don’t know where people get the money from to buy and improve!
Alleyways are fascinating, aren’t they? They seem to beckon you in.

Yes they certainly do.

I’d head toward the ocean first, then the ruins.

Good choice Liz, head for the sea while the sun is out.

It looks intoxicating so I will almost certainly just totter aimlessly around…

Yes Colin, nothing better than tottering aimlessly.

I like the colours in the first photo and the alley in the second one. And that grey-blue house with the wonky antenna!

Yes Audrey, my favourite walk down to the sea in the first picture, especially on a nice day.

Thanks Judy, we nearly made it over the Atlantic when my son was posted to Las Vegas, but 2020 happened.

Lovely Christchurch. 🙂
I haven’t seen that Airstream caravan before. I shall have to look out for it when we’re back in April.

Hello Jacqueline, that one is by the Quomps, but they have been popping up everywhere since Covid.

I love UK villages and towns. So interesting with their funny narrow lanes and beautiful cottages.
