It’s unremittingly grey here at Chez Tidalscribe, but jump into the time machine back to last Saturday.

Jump out of your car and follow the path to the sea.

Don’t fall off the pier…

Do you dare to go up to the zip wire?
How is your Saturday going?

The rain seems to be taking a break, so the garden will get attention. No zipline today!

Ha! It’d be getting down again that’s the problem! We’re definitely having days that remind us that spring is approaching fast.

Going down is much quicker – on that zip wire!

We’ve got similarly blue skies in Morocco! We’ve been to the Sahara Desert, but are back in Zagora in the palm groves for Saturday, which is lovely.
Mainly to do our laundry – not so lovely, but at least it dried quickly 🙂

Hi Janet, I love your ocean pictures. I don’t see the ocean often.

I might’ve done that zipwire 20 years ago … maybe. 😀

I have not had a go on the zip wire though it has been up for a while now.

Love that blue sky and puffy clouds! For a day at the beach, sunshine is de rigueur.

Hello Liz, It’s amazing how the sky can change from day to day.

I think my zip-wire days are over, (they never actually started, to be honest) but I do love the Art Deco-style white building. I looked it up, ‘The Oceanarium’. I have never been inside, despite last visiting Bournemouth in 2001. We were only there for one night though, on our way to Monkey World in Dorset. We stayed in a small hotel and had a delicious Chinese meal in a restaurant opposite.
Best wishes, Pete.

Hello Pete, I think that is my favourite building on the sea front, the whole town is a bit of a mish mash of architecture. We once went for a February mini break to Bexhill-on-Sea so we could see the De La War Pavilion and take photos. We loved it.

I used to make regular trips from London to Bexhill just to admire and photograph the De La Warr Pavilion, one of my favourite buildings in Britain. We used to have tea in the restaurant there after.
Best wishes, Pete.

Hello Pete, we first saw it on Antiques Roadshow and I said ‘We have to go there!’

If you are ever near Essex, I suggest a half-day trip to Frinton-on-Sea to see the wonderful Art Deco housing estate there.

Thanks Pete, I would love to stroll around there. I have always fancied having a round house.

That is quite a spiral staircase. I’m dizzy just looking at it! Forget the zipwire. I’m envious of your proximity to the beach, though! 🙂 xxx

Hello Marsha, yes I’m ten minutes walk to Southbourne cliff top and even after 21 years it’s still a thrill to arrive and see the sea.

Thanks, I expect your zip line ride was scarier than ours, but I haven’t actually been on ours!
