Prime real estate for sure. Luckily the Cotes gave it to the people of Bournemouth. Alas no dogs allowed!

Yes Darlene, my favourite house. I don’t actually live there but I get an annual membership. It’s free to go in for coffee, which I often do. Ironically I can’t think Sir and Lady Cotes spent much time there. It was built after their family grew up and then they were always away on their travels.

I am unfamiliar with Russell Cotes, but I see the house is in Bournemouth. I have been there once but don’t recall seeing this amazing place.

It is very near the pier and overlooks the main beach, but easily missed high up on its perch.

Apparently Mr and Mrs cotes had meals delivered from the Royal Bath hotel next door, sounds like the ultimate in not bothering to cook! They had previously lived at the hotel.

I would expect the Royal Bath Hotel to clean the house as well.

Yes I can see that that is a problem in your part of the UK. Luckily here our cliffs are harder.

We wouldn’t like to live in Bournemouth. We live by the sea in North Norfolk, where we still have natural beaches.
