This is a genuine walk, get off the bus, down towards the sea, turn right and walk all the way down the road. On the way can you spot one of the venues for the Bournemouth Writing Festival and the burial place of Mary Shelley? I did have fun photographing everything I saw.

Here is my bus on the worst road surface ever, a real bone shaker stretch.

You may need a drink after that walk.
Read about the writing festival in my next blog.
Did you enjoy your walk?

Thanks for taking us along – rough roads and all!

I’ve got a cuppa on the go…
Rhododendron season! Lovely 🙂
I’m glad you showed the more derelict stretches too. They are interesting in their own way.

Yes Jacqueline I thought it was time I started showing some derelict stretches!

More lovely Art Deco from the Palace Court Thatre and the old building housing TK Maxx and Mary Shelley Pub. Some of the back streets could do with attention though.
Best wishes, Pete.

The theatre has been rescued by the university luckily. I thought I would show some of the drearier street scenes as well.

Yes I have been meaning to walk down it, after seeing it regularly rattling along in the bus.

Looks like the architect for the Palace Court Theatre couldn’t make up his, (probably, ‘his’) mind between brutalist or art deco. 😀
