It has been many years since we went to Bournemouth. We bought fish and chips from Ramsden’s, and sat on the wall nearby to eat them. Only to discover lots of used syringes and drug paraphernalia around our feet. Bournemouth had obviously changed from when I was a child.
Best wishes, Pete.
We used to come down for the day in the nineties when we lived at Heathrow. A colleague had revealed that you could park at Bournemouth International Centre
for ยฃ3 for 24 hours! Happy daysโฆ. We used to round off the day at Harry Ramsden, waiting till the other day trippers had set off for home and hoping for a clear run home.
Ahhhh, how lovely to see my home beach while we’re on tour in Bosnia-Herzegovina!
The view from the top of Hengistbury Head is my favourite view in the entire world, and the walk around the headland is a great favourite for The Fab Four!
Seeing the Grove Tavern behind the knitted beach at your local post office makes me think you and I might be neighbours, although we rented out our place to fund our travels. ๐
Thank you for sharing!
Hello WorldWideWalkies, nice to meet you and we must be near neighbours. We moved here 18 years ago from Heathrow. Before that we had often been on holiday, taking pictures from the top of H. Head etc.
Love the knitted beach!

Yes Sheree, outside our post office. I don’t know who knitted it, perhaps the same group who did the Jubilee royal scene.

Something about seeing workout equipment at the beach strikes me as humorous. Well, if one is trying to get a beach body, why not do it at the beach?

Yes Pete, especially if you enjoy everyone watching while you work out.

It’s a bit too far from Beetley, but it wasn’t too bad from London. We stayed overnight in a hotel.

Love the scooters! ๐ … I’m surprised they can stand up under the weight of all that bling. ๐
