I do love the colour and ‘flash’ of fairground rides, especially the older style ones with their ‘faded glory’. I never go on them, but I like to look at them.

It is indeed wonderful, but hardly a village, a busy town.! It has swallowed some villages away from the coast, but two hundred years ago did not exist.
Bournemouth is gorgeous, and surrounded by so many beautiful places – it’s close to the New Forest National Park, the Purbecks and the Jurassic Coast. The beach at Southbourne is much quieter than the main beaches at Bournemouth and Boscombe, and the 360 panorama from Hengisbury Head, taking in Christchurch priory, Mudeford harbour and beach huts (the most expensive in the world!) Hurst Castle and lighthouse, the Isle of Wight, and Bournemouth beach and the Isle of Purbeck remains my favourite view in the world. The sunsets are stupendous!
Plus, Bournemouth has a little microclimate that means we have often stood in full sun on the beach and seen black clouds just half a mile inland!
I’m playing catch-up today on old post since I’ve been traveling, Janet. As soon as I saw the teacups, I immediately remembered getting sick on that ride. I’ve avoided them like the plague since then.
